People often know about a person only the things another individual has shared with them. Based on this information, they think they know that person. Yet , the reality is they do not. In fact, the things they have been told may not be true at all.
Sadly, the same is the case with many who say they know Jesus. They have been content to learn about Christ only what they have been told by other individuals. Having learned about Him this way, they think they know him. However, they do not.
The Bible tells us that to know Jesus one must be taught of Him by God.
“It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.” (John 6:45)
“But ye have not so learned Christ; If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:” (Ephesians 4:20-21)
Do you know Jesus?
The eternal consequence to the answer of that question can not be overemphasized.
Because, “…this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” (John 17:3)
